FROM OUARZAZATE: Day trip: Skoura Oasis – Rose valleys – Todra Gorge
The trip takes you on the “road of thousand kasbahs”, we pass oases and palmgroves and drive through rose valleys. You will see finger-formed mountains, steep and curvy mountain roads and we drive through a massive canyon, which makes it look like you are in an old western movie.

PROGRAM
Ouarzazate - Skoura Oasis - Kelaat M'Gouna - Tinghir - Todra Gorge - Ouarzazate
Departure at 8 am from your hotel or riad, where driver picks you up.
The tour takes us along the road of the thousands kasbahs. We stop in the oasis of Skoura to visit the wonderful 17th century Amridil Kasbah.
We continue through the valley of the roses to the village Kelaat M’Gouna. This town is famous for its sea of pink Persian rose landscape and each year they celebrate their harvest with a joyous and fragrant Rose Festival, known locally as the Fête des Roses.
The next city is Tinghir located at the foothills of the Atlas mountains. The city is famous for its beautiful palm groves. After 12 km we reach Todra Gorge. This is a massive and spectaluar canyon, with a deep fault of 300 metres which splits the red limestone into a deep ravine. It is an amazing sight when the high mountain walls “open up” as you drive through.
Lunch in a restaurant in Todra Gorge and the possibility to take a walk in Tinghir’s palm grove and to visit the Jewish quarter.
Return to Ouarzazate and drop off at your hotel or riad in the afternoon.
