Booking and Payment Steps

Send us your details
Please provide your full name, postal address, and mobile number.

Pay the tour deposit
The deposit amount is agreed by email before booking. You can pay in one of the following ways:
a) PayPal
We will send you a PayPal invoice with payment instructions by email.
b) Bank transfer (EUR deposit)
We will send you an invoice via our online invoicing system (Fiken).

Booking confirmation
Your tour is confirmed once we have received the deposit. You will receive a confirmation email when the payment has been registered.

Remaining balance
The remaining balance is normally paid in Euro or exchanged to local currency (Dirham) at the start of the tour in Morocco.
If the remaining amount is large and not practical to carry in cash, we may request part of the balance to be paid in advance, approximately 35 days before departure. In this case, the remaining amount will be invoiced, and currency exchange and transaction fees will be added.

Pickup information
Before departure, please send us the name and address of your hotel or riad in Morocco so we can arrange pickup.

Financial Protection for Your Trip
Desert Candles tour operator is a Moroccan/Norwegian partnership. We are a member of the Norwegian Travel Guarantee Fund (Reisegarantifondet). This means that your payments are financially protected when you book a package tour with us.
The Travel Guarantee Fund is a national protection scheme that ensures customers are refunded if a travel company becomes insolvent and is unable to deliver the trip.
What this means for you
- Your money is protected before and during your trip
- You will not lose your payment if the company cannot deliver the travel services
- It applies to package tours sold by registered travel companies in Norway
This system is required by Norwegian law for authorised tour operators, and it is designed to give you extra security when booking travel.
