Day 1: Ouarzazate - Skoura oasis - Kasbahs - Rose valleys - Dades Gorge - Todra Gorge
Departure at 9 am, when the driver/guide picks you up at your hotel or riad.

On the way you pass the beautiful oasis of Skoura with many ancient Kasbahs standing amongst the palm trees. We continue through the valley of roses to the village Kelaa M’gouna. We stop for Berber tea and refreshments in front of the valley view.

We continue the drive along the valley of the thousand Kasbahs towards Dades Gorges.

The landscape is sensational, going through the red Atlas mountains, Berber villages and green valleys with palm groves and pink rose gardens (in springtime). Each village has its red colored Kasbah or ksar and a mosque. The Dades Gorges is amazing with its “finger-formed” rocks. This is a very picturesque part of Morocco.

After lunch there is time for a walk along Boumalne Dades valley, before we drive to a guesthouse in Todra Gorge to spend the night.

The canyon of Todra Gorge is massive. A 300 meter deep vault splits the orange limestone into a deep ravine. Driving through the Gorge gives you an amacing sight.

Afterwards dinner is served in the desert camp. Enjoy the evening under the stars and sleep in a nomad tent.
